The gearbox whine is awesome, but the cars are still really quiet. I really hope they can find a way to make these thunderous.

Is that from the electric motor or from straight cut gears? has a purpose which is why it is kind of cool. I don't know how it will sound in the stands but gears like that can get pretty loud:

I am pretty sure it is the straight cut gear, and generally the sound is noticable but it isn't anything loud. Usually, you can't even hear them at a race.
